Fernandina beach, Florida, at sunset. I took the picture this painting was based off while I was stationed in Kings Bay, Georgia in 2009. I used to go down to Fernandina to eat at Sandy Bottoms on the beach, and then go for a long walk. Despite its obvious beauty, it was a depressed and lonely time in my life, and I think this painting reflects that austerity well.
